Project 1726 – James Hardie® Primed Lap Siding & Straight Edge Shingles with Primed White Trim, Belly Bands, Milgard® Tuscany Windows & Doors | Full Rot Repair + Exterior Painted with Sherwin-Williams® Resilience®
For Project 1726, Alpine Exteriors completed a full exterior transformation featuring a combination of 8 ¼” James Hardie® Primed Cedarmill Lap Siding and Hardie® Straight Edge Shingles, adding architectural depth and texture to the home’s facade. The exterior design was complemented with primed white 5/4×4 trim, bold 5/4×8 belly bands, and a full window and door upgrade using Milgard® Tuscany Series vinyl windows and patio doors — all brought together with a professional finish using Sherwin-Williams® Resilience® exterior paint.
Upon removal of the original exterior cladding, our team discovered widespread rot and moisture intrusion, particularly around windows, doors, and structural transitions. We conducted all necessary framing and sheathing repairs, then sealed the home using James Hardie’s HardieWrap® weather barrier, creating a water-managed and breathable wall system designed to protect the structure for years to come.
Our Elite Preferred team installed both the lap siding and shingle accents with manufacturer-approved fastening, code-compliant flashing, and precision layout, ensuring long-term durability and clean visual lines. The blend of lap siding and straight edge shingles offers both traditional appeal and enhanced curb presence.
The project also included the full installation of Milgard® Tuscany Series windows and doors, providing energy efficiency, UV protection, and modern functionality. To complete the exterior, we applied Sherwin-Williams® Resilience® — a top-tier exterior paint engineered for fade resistance, mildew protection, and performance in the Pacific Northwest’s demanding climate.

⚠️ Homeowners, take caution: Siding failures, paint deterioration, and moisture intrusion are inevitable when hiring unqualified crews or using off-brand fiber cement products. Cutting corners on your exterior can lead to costly structural damage, mold issues, and a significant loss in property value.
✔️ At Alpine Exteriors, we prioritize craftsmanship, code compliance, and long-term protection — all backed by manufacturer warranties and our proven track record.
