Alpine Exteriors completed a full-scale exterior renovation for the Redwood Condos, a 10-unit condominium complex in Bellingham, WA, addressing long-standing structural deficiencies, energy inefficiencies, and cosmetic aging. This project was delivered in coordination with the condo association and involved extensive system-wide upgrades to ensure long-term performance and property value retention.

Scope of Work Overview

Siding Replacement
We replaced all failing T1-11 siding with James Hardie® ColorPlus® lap siding in Iron Gray, complemented by Arctic White factory-finished trim and belly bands. This system offers exceptional resistance to moisture, UV degradation, and pests — a long-term solution for Northwest weather.

Sheathing & Structural Repair
Once the siding was removed, we discovered that no structural sheathing had ever been installed. Our team installed full CDX plywood sheathing on all exterior walls and performed extensive rot remediation, ensuring a stable, code-compliant exterior envelope.

Insulation Upgrade
The original structure lacked any meaningful thermal barrier. We installed batt insulation throughout, dramatically improving energy efficiency, soundproofing, and occupant comfort.

Window & Door Replacement
All units received new Milgard® Tuscany Series vinyl windows and sliding glass doors, offering superior energy performance, clean lines, and a unified exterior aesthetic across the complex.

Soffit Painting
To complete the exterior upgrade, we professionally painted all soffits using Sherwin-Williams® exterior paint, color-matched to the Iron Gray ColorPlus® siding, creating a seamless and polished finish throughout the property.
