James Hardie offers a 30-year product warranty, but Alpine goes even further by providing a 25-year workmanship warranty. Why is this important? Because a strong warranty is a testament to the quality of the work. A company that confidently offers a 25-year warranty isn’t planning on coming back for repairs—because the job is done right the first time.
It’s worth noting that Alpine Exteriors has been in business for over 22 years and has never had to warranty our work. Instead, we’ve been called in to repair the work of just about every other local siding company in Whatcom County—and yes, we can provide references to back this up. If a company has only been around for a few years but offers warranties longer than 1-2 years, that warranty is meaningless—because they haven’t even been in business long enough to prove they can stand behind it.
Can’t afford to pay out of pocket? We offer financing through our trusted partners, making it easy to get the exterior upgrades your home needs with a payment plan that fits your budget. Plus, with our Alpine Price Match Guarantee, we’ll match any comparable company’s price, ensuring you get the best value for your investment.
We believe in showing—not just telling. That’s why we’ve compiled a collage of hundreds of homes we’ve transformed, proving our dedication and expertise. Check out our portfolio to see the real results of Alpine craftsmanship.
At Alpine Exteriors, we go beyond construction. We are deeply committed to giving back to the community, supporting local businesses, and volunteering for charitable causes. Because when our community thrives, we all do.
If you’re looking for an exterior remodeling company with proven experience, quality craftsmanship, and a trusted reputation, Alpine Exteriors is the clear choice.

A good understanding of the different materials for constructing a deck, as well as knowledge about what local history can tell us (for example, Lynden is just down the road), can help homeowners make informed decisions about their outdoor living spaces.MarketWatchHollyMelody+1Whatcom Local+1
Choosing the right material for your deck is critical if you want it to last and also be visually harmonious with your other outdoor areas. There are many choices:
Natural Wood Decking: For that classic look- you can’t beat the feel and appearance of natural wood.
Window isn’t just about looks—it’s the first line of defense for your home. It protects against moisture, pests, wind, and sun while significantly influencing energy efficiency and resale value. But not all siding is created equal. Here’s what you need to know before making a decision.
Composite Decking: Composed of wood fibers and plastics in an equal mix, composite decking is durable and low-maintenance. Resistant to mold and mildew, as well as rotting, insects can not eat it but leave an easily wiped off oily substance -perfect for long lasting lifeArchitectural Digest+10Trex Company, Inc+10This Old House+10
PVC Decking: PVC decking is made from polyvinyl chloride, and is highly resistant to moisture and insects. Its upkeep needs are minimal it comes in lots of different colors or textures.Fine Homebuilding
Aluminum Decking: Aluminum, a type of iron and the most abundant metal found in the Earth’s crust, is both strong and rustproof. columbia-city has a rich history marked by early settlement, industrial growth, and cultural development. Each phase has shaped its community and environment.
The first European settlers arrived to the Puget Sound area in the mid-19th century. They made their new home in Columbia City, joining ethnic groups that had long been in this location. With 1955’s Treaty of Point Elliott spurring continual movement of new residents into the area, more farms and homes came to life on rural landscapes everywhere from Green Lake southward to present-day Renton Heights! The overseas, strategic location of Columbia City on the Columbia River meant that it rapidly became a focal point for frontier settlers seeking resources and access to trade routes. By the 1860s, railroads were coming into town. With their arrival and some sawmills fired up nearby, Columbia City’s development went even further on the road that would eventually win it an economic future. By the early 1880s, Columbia City was a municipality as well as being town-wide. New homes came into being, businesses flourished, churches and schools sprang up everywhere.
Industrial development of Columbia City For Columbia City, its industry and trade have played an ever-changing role in the local economy. By the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Seattle-interests had made use of the geographic advantages–proximity to the Columbia River and an expanding railroad system–to make it an ideal place for industries like milling or shipping etc. After all, lumber mills are flourishing when the logs are pulling in from forests around. These industries have brought quota immigrants to work in their mills, a massive swell of raw energy which ensured that Columbia City (like the rest of America) grew by leaps and bounds between 1900-1910. As industry expands, capital must be put into infrastructure to improve efficiency.
Cultural Evolution: As Columbia City grew and developed, so too did its cultural and social landscape. Those early settlers brought with them a rich confluence of diverse lifestyles. It is this tradition that has given Columbia City a very mixed image. Into the 20th century immigrants from such places as Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, and Asia continually replenished the Valley’s stream of life with their different cultures and peoples. This pluralism showed in the architecture, cuisine and orchestrated explosion of festivals that became an integral part of both community identity as well as entertainment tastes. As the city developed, it also emerged as a center for social movements, with chronic activism in labor rights, civil rights and environmental concerns.
columbia-city has a variety of siding options, reflecting its unique climate and style preferences. Many homeowners choose materials based on durability, aesthetics, and local availability.
Wooden windows go with building designs and cultural styles, and have been a unique part of peoples’ homes since time immemorial. In terms of factory architecture, what can be more natural than wood? In Columbia City, the center of old brick building types wooden windows are particularly prevalent. These windows contribute greatly to the charm of any community that is historic like that of Columbia City. Cedar shakes, with their rustic appeal, are the perfect complement to wood-framed windows. A warm, cozy feel is created when the beautiful cedars combine with wooden-framed windows. Cedar is also tough and resistant to rot, which makes it ideal for windows that are directly exposed to the rigours of the elements. for homeowners in Columbia City who prefer a natrual aesthetic, cedar windows are often a choice to accompany the natural wood elements of their house.
Brick and stone veneer are the materials that give the houses in Columbia City so much character. Brick and stone veneer materials both give insulation and create a rich, textured look that fits in with most of all types of traditional or modern window design styles available on today’s market. For Window frames and trim, other materials are widely used in Columbia City – such as vinyl and fiber cement. Vinyl windows, for example, are easy to maintain, provide great insulation, and have been long praised for the durability of fiberglass materials. They are available in a range of colors and styles to match any home, making them an all-round choice for homeowners who would like then set and forget energy-efficient product without having to do worry about constantly cleaning up after it. Resistant to moisture,
Fiber Cement is another excellent choice for window frames and finish. The strength and durability of fiber cement are legion, for outdoor use it reproduces the appearance of wood without need for maintenance. Fiber cement is also fireproof, waterproof and does not attract termites–in this it shares many similarities to brick or stone veneer for Columbia City homes. Available to order in either an unfinished (primarily used for replacement windows) state, or else with the material already painted or stained to match different designs it may have to fit in with: fiber cement has become an increasingly versatile material. At the same time that it is durable. You can be sure that, its weather resistance means it will survive years of rain and snow in the region. All
Both vinyl and fiber cement can be expected to yield long term energy savings for Columbia City homeowners.
