New Windows Where Bellingham Is Busiest
Living in Bellingham's Citycenter puts everything close: the Saturday farmers market at Depot Market Square, shows at the Mount Baker Theatre, Whatcom Creek running through the middle of it all. It also puts your windows to work harder than anywhere else in town. Downtown-area homes, condos, and the older houses on the blocks that ring the core deal with traffic noise off the arterials, train horns from the waterfront line, and the same wet, windy marine climate that tests every building in the county. Old single-pane sashes and early aluminum sliders handle none of it well.
Alpine Exteriors replaces windows across the Citycenter and its surrounding blocks, and after 25 years in the exterior trades we can usually diagnose a building's windows from the sidewalk: fogged double panes with failed seals, condensation rings rotting the sash bottoms, painted-shut uppers in the pre-war housing near the downtown edge, and rattling glass that turns every passing truck into a room-mate.
